if i were a movie...
So, here's how it works:1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. When you're finished tag some other people to do it!
Opening Credits:
Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming: Sufjan Stevens. Hmm...
Waking Up:
Precious: U2... iTunes indicates I have not listened to this song in almost 2 years. I do like the crescendo at the start- it would wake me up gently.
First Day At School:
What a Wonderful World: Louis Armstrong... if only every kid viewed school this way!!! (said the teacher)
Falling In Love:
Give Reviving: Chelsey Scott. Curious. Apropos?
Fight Song:
Blowin' in the Wind [Live]: maybe this reflects my thought that fighting really doesn't solve anything?
Breaking Up:
Rain King: Counting Crows... verse 2 could fit
Prom:
Tombstone Blues: Bob Dylan... makes absolutely no sense
Life:
Old Camp Meeting Time: Packway Handle Band... again, hmm... so far, I have a really strange life
Making babies:
Deadwood, South Dakota: Nanci Griffith... maybe this indicates the setting?
Mental Breakdown:
Sweet Hitchhiker: Creedence Clearwater Revival... OK, I can see this one.
Driving:
One More Cup of Coffee: Bob Dylan... oh yes, this totally fits!
Flashback:
The Distance: Cake... I mean, this song does always flash me back to the cafeteria my freshman year at FSU.
Getting back together:
Amazing: Aerosmith
Wedding:
Stayin' Alive: Bee Gees... so it will be a fun wedding?
Birth of Child:
Miriam: Pierce Pettis: don't think I actually know this song. maybe i should name my first child "miriam."
Final Battle:
Heaven When We're Home: The Wailin' Jennys. Yep, that works.
Death Scene:
Nestled: Packway Handle Band... I guess that sounds like a good way to go.
Funeral Song:
Got to Admit It's Getting Better: the Beatles. Awesome. And true.
End Credits:
Riffs and Variations on a Single Note for Jelly Roll, Earl Hines, Louis Armstrong, Baby Dodds, and the King of Swing, to Name a Few: Sufjan Stevens: apparently there will be few credits, as this song is only 46 seconds long
Not sure I would watch my movie...

2 Comments:
