too much information?

It seems that maybe this blog could be a good way to keep you updated on how things are going in Nashville. Though, if my friends stop calling me because they are getting all the pertinent info from my blog, then I'll just have to stop. Not to mention, once classes really get underway, I'll probably wind up slacking off anyway.

Today, I managed to get a parking pass, find my way to my building, pick up keys to my office, find my desk, meet some 2nd and 3rd years, meet our department secretary, get my student ID (which, of course, looks like a mug shot- don't ever ask to see it), buy most of my books (except for the $170 stat book that I just can't bring myself to purchase yet...) AND make my way to Trader Joe's.

Granted, the sewing project I've undertaken isn't going so well and Kate is winning the battle for domestic goddess of the week. Every morning I wake up at 6:20 when my room is flooded with sunlight, so I decided to line the curtains with blackout material. And to add ribbon to them to give them a little color. Unfortunately, the bobbin on the sewing machine does NOT like me. Maybe, if I can persevere, I will take a picture when I finish.
