more questions

More interesting questions posed to me today- these while reviewing a list of vocabulary words and Greek and Latin roots...

Do you salt and vinegar potato chips or sour cream and onion, or do you like both? I've never met anyone who liked one and did not have a strong aversion to the other.

Why does the human nose protrude from the face? In Harry Potter, Voldemort's nose does not protrude from his face, its just 2 slits.

Should I get my nails done in circles or squares?

Are there newspapers for the blind? Can I do my next project in Braille?

Can I do my next project in Greek? (Only if you want a zero- I'll make sure to include "written in English in the basic requirements on my next rubric.)

Do you prefer red, green, or purple grapes?

What is the theory of relativity? (Do I look like Einstein?)

Was Jesus an introvert or an extrovert?

In discussing the word "idiosyncrasy," Can we go around the room and everyone point out an idiosyncrasy in someone else so that we make sure we know what the word means? Can we start an IA (Idiosyncrasies Anonymous) next year where at the meetings we come clean with our own idiosyncrasies?

Why are hermit crabs called hermit crabs?

Do they speak Scottish in Nova Scotia? (Do they speak Scottish in Scotland?)

Maybe the real question is why I let such discussions go on in my classroom...

I love salt and vinegar and sour and cream and onion potato chips equally as much! This could be an IA issue.

Patty- welcome to the blog!

Kate- I've seen lots of my friends' blogs lately that appeared to have spammed comments on them- I don't want any!
