looking ahead
Spring Break has been pretty lame. It did start with a wonderful weekend in Atlanta for Christina and Jeremy's wedding, but it's ended with a cold, studying for a test, and coding transcripts. I keep reminding myself that I've chosen this...It has involved a brief glimpse of spring-like weather and some planning for the summer though. Too bad I'm supposed to work all summer- not sure if 20-30 hours a week qualifies as marginal employment or not. On the docket: a trip to St Louis, visitors from Prague and Phnom Penh, a trip to Prince Edward Island, and another multi-week road trip. It just doesn't feel like summer without a good road trip.
The plan: 2+ weeks to Las Vegas and back. Head out from Nashville on I-40 to Oklahoma City, through Amarillo, spend some time in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, head to Flagstaff an the Grand Canyon, then on to Las Vegas. From Las Vegas, head into Utah and all its wonderful National Parks, then the same in Colorado. Hopefully we can find something interesting to do in Kansas- Laura wants to go to a Royals game. From there we head back to Nashville, with a week before the start of classes.
And it knocks 4 more states off the list: Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nevada, and Kansas. That will leave 8 to go.
