weird me

So Ami asked me to write down all the things about me that are weird. She listed 5 about herself- I think I have way more than 5. I tend to think of myself as being pretty darn strange. This post is also going to double as the 7 random facts about me Allison requested. Here goes.

#1 Like Ami, I, too, really like theology. I studied Greek in college so that I would be able to read the Bible in its original language. I enjoyed memorizing the Westminster Shorter Catechism and do actually refer to it when some frequency when thinking about spiritual things.

#2. I'm a really messy person, but I make my bed every time I get up, whether in the morning fr from a nap.

#3. I eat my breakfast lying down in the middle of the bed and often manage to spill cinnamon and sugar all over it. My friend Andrea once brought me a tray to eat on when she was cleaning out some stuff for Goodwill, but I persist in eating directly on the bed.

#4. I refer to the bed as "the bed." Kate in particular finds this really weird. Similarly, I call the grocery store the "snoshery snore" and refer to Christmas trees as "Tristmas trees."

#5. I like words, A LOT. Puns and crossword puzzles especially. I do the NY Times crossword puzzle everyday when I get home from work to unwind.

#6. There's a radio that constantly plays in my head. I mean, CONSTANTLY. And it's set to scan. It's often very distracting and tends to drown out other thoughts.

#7. I laugh A LOT. Often to the point of tears and not being able to breathe. My friends are concerned for my life.

#8. I'll eat anything for breakfast. I have no "That's not breakfast food" qualms. You'd be grossed out if I told you what I ate this morning. But on a normal morning, I eat a bagel with cinnamon and sugar. Lots of cinnamon. So much that Kate bought me a pound jar of it because she thinks it's so weird.

#9. I talk really loud.

#10. I don't like to go see movies. Everyone seems to think this is very strange.

I suppose that will have to be enough. I would love to hear from Kate, Carol, Sarah, and Gypsy on this.

This was entertaining.
I think what's funniest about you is not that you laugh a lot. It's what makes you laugh. And what happens to you when you laugh. And the fact that you can't stop laughing. And you keep laughing after everyone around you has stopped and started to worry for you. It's great.

And, you know, it's pretty darn odd that you're blogging about what's weird about you.

what's weird is definitely what happens to you when you laugh.

Oh, this definitely counts!

Thanks for this look into your life. Man, you had much better ones than mine. Mine are lame.

Although I guess I could've mentioned that I, too, like theology! And way before my husband came along and got me hooked on even MORE great deep-thinking authors...(he's taking Greek II currently and teaching a Sunday School class on John -- he reads all the commentaries, and I get to sit and learn). :)

P.S. Liking words is not weird. We are English teachers, after all!

why is liking theology weird? either i'm weird in a way i didn't realize, or you underestimate your weirdness. This blog entry is a good start, but I personally think you could do much better/weirder. ;) Here are a few more:
11) you will often start 'flying' if you are happy about where you are walking or if you sense danger
12) your blog directions are in french
13) not just one, but three inflatable snowmen in your yard this christmas
14) i think we now also need to add waving to strangers from a car
15) liechtenstein??

Theology is not weird. I hate going to the movies and think eating in bed is rad.

And your laughing is bizarre. For real.
