summer travels
Oh the places I could go!The plan, as it stands now is to either fly up to New Jersey and join Kate after her family reunion, or a few weeks before her family reunion. Then, we will travel to Prince Edward Island, home of Anne Shirley, where I have always wanted to visit. I can't imagine a better place to indulge all of my silly, girlie, yet ever cherished romantic notions than P.E.I.
From there, we could possibly hit New Brunswick and/or Nova Scotia before heading to Maine, and Acadia NP for sure. From there, Vermont and New Hampshire. Neither of us has ever been to Boston, so a stopover there will be necessary, as well as a dip into Rhode Island. Hopefully, depending on the timing, I will be able to hit Deleware and Connecticut as well.
I have no idea how, having been to all of the surrounding states, I have never managed to make it into Deleware. Said stop would bring me to 7 new states for the summer, and bring the grand total to 36.

PEI! I'm so jealous... I've always wanted to go there-- I even have LMM's journals-- that's how much I was obsessed with her as a girl. I still re-read her books. Sounds like a fun trip! maybe I could convince Gaines to let me go and take Jacob along...heh. Maybe not...well, have fun!

I'd love to go to PEI! That is such a great girls' trip! I've heard they capitalize on the Anne Shirley connection (puff-sleeved, teenage tour guides and all), which I'm sure I would eat right up.
