the last day
Tomorrow is the last day of school for the kids. Its bittersweet. I can hardly wait! But, I will really miss this year's kids, even if they having been working my nerves for the last few weeks. There seems to be an inverse relationship between their energy levels and my energy level.I can now start to think about all of those mundane things that I need to get done... a hair cut, go to the dentist, get a tag for my car, get an oil change.
And it means I can really start thinking about my summer of fun- no grad school this summer!! Read to my hearts content. Spend some time at the lake, in the sun with the fam in June. And fly to Seattle and drive back through the northern states with Kate, camping, hiking, and seeing as many national parks as possible in two and a half weeks. It all begins in 18 hours!!!

I know! I need a haircut, too!
SOunds like a GREAT summer! Let's plan to get together sometime.
I'm taking a trip in June and around the 4th of July, but that's it. I can't wait to catch up on all the reading and painting and projects around the apartment and basic things like laundry and scrubbing floors that I've fallen behind on all year (ok, so maybe not that last one...).
Woo-hoo!
(I will miss some of my kids, too, but I think I will be able to teach some of my favorites in Advanced 10th next year, which is nice.)
Ooo, I'm so jealous. My job mosies on . . . through the summer. I can't complain, though. The weather is great and we have a few trips on the docket. Now if I could just get Chris to hang the bedside sconces so we could read at night . . . .
