encapsulating a few days quickly
On Sunday, we worshiped at Christ the King in Cambridge. It was unusually hot for Boston in July- well into the 90s- and all that I really remember from that morning is that I have never been so hot during a church service before. I suppose I do remember the sermon as well, because Kate and I had quite the discussion of it in the car later that afternoon. After church, we headed to the MFA. It was a hard, hard choice between the MFA and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, but for that day, the MFA won out. We didn't even have enough time to spend there before needing to head back to Brandi's and hop in the car to head back to NY and Kate's family reunion.
We spent the next 5 days relaxing- hiking, reading, sleeping, cooking, playing games- in a beautiful cabin in the Catskills with all of Kate's immediate family (parents, 5 siblings, 3 siblings-in-law, 3 nephews, a niece, and me). It was quite the experience for me, as I have one sibling, not yet married, and not even any cousins. The Miners were all wonderfully warm and gracious to me and I really enjoyed getting to know them all.
Friday afternoon, we drove to Albany to pick Jeremy up from the train station and headed with him to Hanover, NH for the weekend. We drove the scenic route through Vermont, stopping in the Green Mountains to take in the scenery and stopped in a gift store to observe many of the fine products of Vermont.

We enjoyed getting to know you too - hiking, drinking tea, playing Settlers. Thanks for coming!
